Why Elevate Kids?
Melinda and I thought it would be worth mentioning to interested parties why we are pursuing our goal of Running the entire 490 mile Colorado Trail in 18 days. And we also thought a question/answer format might be a good way of explaining our motivation for this project. So here goes. . .

Great Causes by Great organizations
We (Doug and Melinda McCaw) are training to run the entire 490 mile Colorado Trail in 18 days in July 2020 to raise money for several charities that help children in the Grand Valley area of Colorado. We are asking interested parties to contribute as generously as they can to support these organizations and their outreach efforts to help children in the Grand Valley.
Our fundraising efforts are for the following two organizations
Kids Aid
Kids Aid Backpack Program sends food donations home with children who otherwise would go hungry over the weekend.
Intermountain Adventist Academy
IAA is a K-8 Seventh-day Adventist School committed to providing quality education in a Christ-filled environment.
